Use the search on the homepage. Choose an activity, a city, or an age, or open a city and pick daycare, swim, martial arts, dance, or tutoring. Each listing shows the street, ZIP, and phone when KAL has them. Houston has the most listings. Cypress, Sugar Land, Richmond, Kingwood, and Webster have their own pages for the businesses addressed there.
Yes. Reading KAL and contacting a provider are free. KAL does not charge parents and does not take a cut of a class signup. There is no parent account to buy. A listing marked Sponsored is a paid placement, and that label stays visible. Sponsored or not, ages, hours, and a license number stay the facts KAL checked.
Each listing names what was checked. Houston daycare uses the Texas HHSC childcare record, including the operation number, capacity, age groups, and weekday hours. Goldfish swim listings use that brand’s location pages. Other listings use the address and phone published for the business. The month on the page is the last check. KAL writes the description itself.
The directory covers daycare, swim lessons, martial arts, dance, and tutoring in the Houston area. An age appears when a public record includes it, such as infant through school at many daycares and 4 months to 12 years on Goldfish pages. Gymnastics has a Houston page of its own. Camps stay in the menu until KAL has real camp listings. A missing age was not published.
Open a city and a category, then read the table. Hours appear when the business published a weekly schedule. A price appears only when KAL has a posted rate. Most Houston daycare and swim listings leave tuition off, because those records did not include it. Compare the hours, the ages, and the address, then call the business for the current fee.
Open the listing and use Share a Parent Review. Add your name, a short note, and a rating if you want one. Leave out your child’s name, photos, and medical details. KAL reads the review before it shows on the page. A review is a parent note. It does not change the hours, the license number, or the address already on the listing.
The directory starts in greater Houston. Houston has the widest set of activities. Cypress, Sugar Land, Richmond, Kingwood, and Webster each have a shorter city page. Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio are named on the homepage as later cities, and they do not have listings yet. Open a city to see only the businesses with an address there.
On the listing, choose Report a Correction. That page names the listing you opened. KAL does not store a note there and does not send you an email. When a phone or an hour looks wrong, check the business website and the last-verified month on the listing. A daycare operation number can be matched to the Texas HHSC record.
KAL is a Houston-first directory of kids activities in Texas. Daycare listings use Texas HHSC records. Swim listings include Goldfish location pages and other published pool addresses. Martial arts, dance, and tutoring listings use the address and phone published for each business. KAL does not publish invented gyms. Houston daycare is the comparison with the most listings.
